Georgia AKA Mamma's Story

Name: Georgia AKA Mamma
Sex: Female
Age: 3
Breed: Bloodhound
Temperment: laid back

On a cold winter night Georgia found her way under a house and delivered a total of 12 darling puppies.  Only coming out at night when everyone else was sleeping she scrounged for food and kept her babies hidden for almost 5 weeks.  It was their curosity that alerted the homeowner to their existance.  Georgia and her babies were brought into TARP together.  Originally she was to go to rescue in Florida with her babies, but she stayed back to nurse another litter of pups whose mother had no milk.  The original rescue backed out of taking her.  We believe Georgia is a purebred bloodhound.  She is housebroken, uses a doggie door and gets along well with both big and small dogs.  She has not been cat tested  Georgia is a very calm laid back animal.  She loves to lay out in the sun, but will romp and play if she has someone to play with.  She is crate trained and will often choose to lay in her crate rather than on one of the various dog beds around the house.  Georgia is currently being fostered in Autaugaville, Al but transportation is available.
